HA NOI CITY YEN XA SEWERAGE SYSTEM PROJECT

The Hanoi City Yen Xa Sewerage System Project has the total investment VND 5,800 billion, equivalent to JPY 28.42 billion which is financed by the ODA of the Government of Japan (through Japan International Cooperation Agency – JICA) and counterpart fund of the Government of Vietnam with the objective being developing sewerage system to collect and treat the wastewater in the central urban areas of To Lich River, Lu River, Lu-Set Floodway, and the area in the left side of Nhue River. The specific objectives of the project are as follows:

a, Construction of a wastewater treatment plant with capacity of 270,000 m3/day applying treatment process of Conventional Activated Sludge Process – AO type;
b, Construction of sewage collection system, intercepting System and connections system (along two banks of To Lich and Lu Rivers) with a total length of  52,621 km and diameter ranging from 400 mm to 2400mm;
c, Service Area: S2 (Under Master Plan in 1995 which was adjusted in 2010) has the catchment area of 4,874 ha, including: Ba Dinh District, Thanh Xuan District, Dong Da District and a part of Hoang Mai District, Ha Dong District , Thanh Tri District and Tu Liem District;

d, Target Population of the Project: Expected to 900,000 people by 2020.

Description of actual services provided by the company staff within the assignment:
1) Basic design review, preparation of supplementary basic design, and detailed design;
2) Site surveys (Topographic, Geological, hydrographic, inventory, water quality,  underground utilities and obstacles documents, and other surveys);
3)     Engineering design and preparation of technical specifications of Yen Xa WWTP;
4)     Development of construction plan and cost estimation;
5)     Review of documents for environment and social consideration;
6)     Preparation of pre-qualification documents and bidding documents;
7)     Pre- Construction service and bidding stage;
8)     Construction supervision;
9)     Assistant services for O&M.
